My training career began in 2006 when I took a class called Kinesiology 105. Ever since then, I have been fascinated by health and fitness and its effect on longevity and independent living. During my years studying at Western Colorado University, I ran collegiate track and field. This helped me lay the groundwork for my career as a personal trainer. Upon receiving my degree in exercise and sport science, I set out in search of my first client, and since that time I've never looked back. In my nearly 20 years of experience, I've learned that everyone has their own specific goals and must be trained in accordance to their unique biomechanics and biochemistry.
As a Kinesiologist, I've had the opportunity to expand my skills in clinical settings as well. I have worked alongside physicians, physician's assistants, and nurses to give patients and clients a comprehensive framework of health through my personal training programs. From individuals suffering from COPD to partially paralyzed veterans, I have seen and prescribed exercises for a variety of health conditions. It was extremely rewarding to witness these individuals improve their health and live fuller lives. Exercise really is the best medicine, and I believe it's something we can all do no matter what life throws our way.
